President Obama has said the United States’ offer of dialogue with Iran still stands.

In a New Year message to Iranians released on Saturday, Obama said “even as we continue to have differences with the Iranian government,… our offer of comprehensive diplomatic contacts and dialogue stands.”
Iran’s New Year, known as Noruz, starts on Sunday, March 21.
Iran and the U.S. are entangled in nuclear conflict. Washington is pressing Tehran to abandon its nuclear activities. However, Iran, as a signatory to the NPT, says it has legal right to nuclear program for peaceful purposes.
